With the support of local businesses, organizations, and entertainers, the Mexicantown Community Development Corp. invites neighbors, Detroit Startup Week attendees and sponsors, and Detroiters to join in food, music, and community-building. Free food will be on-site while entertainers from the Southwest Detroit community perform in the Plaza del Norte (The Welcome Center) building in the neighborhood of Mexicantown. Situated around shops, restaurants, and community organizations, this event will be a great way to get to know the community while interacting with neighbors and visitors alike.

This unique opportunity for entrepreneurs of any focus to come to the Mexicantown neighborhood and learn more about its culture, people, and businesses.

Food Vendors: 
  • Rocky’s Road Brew Detroit “Dámelo Café”: Gourmet coffee, teas, fruit smoothies and vegan tacos
  • “El Mayab” Taco Truck
  • “Ameyalli Mexican Treats”: Edible mini Aztec Power Bar Skulls made of Amaranth, a known Aztec superfood
