Sean Harness is a contract & negotiation specialist in the metro-Detroit area. Over his twelve year career working with both buyers and suppliers, Harness has awarded $200 million dollars of new business to suppliers in the auto industry and managed over $1 billion dollars of spend globally for purchasing product/services from new/existing businesses. Currently, Sean works as a Senior Buyer within the Autonomous Vehicle department at General Motors. 

Harness understands what it takes for startups and small businesses to package a healthy balance of innovation and execution to earn big business. His expertise includes but is not limited to: project management, engineering, technical writing, proposal development, business strategy, and sales & relationship development. 

Sean bleeds green and white, holding an MBA from the Broad School of Management and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University. He is passionate about the city of Detroit and sharing his knowledge and experience to enhance sustainability of Detroit-based businesses!
