Dawn R. Oliver is a native of Detroit. She has a B.S., in Public Administration & Community Development as well as an M.S. in Integrated Marketing Communications. A seasoned marketing professional with fifteen years of experience in various aspects of the marketing industry ranging from customer service and call center management to developing strategic marketing and communications plans for clients and auxiliary organizations. Dawn has extensive experience managing client relationships, multi-million-dollar budgets, and executing a variety of digital and social advertising and public relations programs at the global, national, and local levels for the NCAA, United States Postal Service, Society of Manufacturing Engineers, Chevrolet, U.S. Navy, and Ford & Lincoln Motor Company.
Dawn began her career at Lowe Campbell-Ewald in 2003 working on the Navy, Chevrolet, and Postal Service accounts. In 2011, Dawn joined Team Detroit (TDI), as Branded Entertainment, Digital Account Supervisor, where she oversaw the planning, and execution of all Ford Motor Company digital initiatives for live events like X-Games, in show integrations and product pre-launch campaigns. In 2014, Dawn assumed the role of lead Account Manager for the Ford Focus nameplate and Automotive News business held by TDI. In this role, she leads all U.S. Integrated marketing brand initiatives as well as producing weekly ads that highlight Ford Dealers who have made an impact in their communities.
In August of 2015, Dawn joined Harman International as Customer Marketing Manager of Automotive Audio, responsible for all aspects of planning and execution of customer marketing programs for OEM Automotive Partners. Dawn also serves as Adjunct Professor of Marketing at Macomb Community College.
Dawn’s true passion is in community service and philanthropy. She has served on the board of Teen H.Y.PE. and held the position of Board Secretary and Ambassador Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Detroit. She also volunteers with the Parade Company, Hope Closet, T.R.I.P USA, and hosts annual birthday service projects. She is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Southfield Alumnae Chapter where she serves on several committees as well as Co-Chair of the Dr. Jeanne L. Noble GEMS Institute.
